Guy Fawkes & the Gunpowder Plot Drawing Workshop, The British Museum.

In this workshop we looked at prints from the museum's collection - how they were made, what they told us and in what way.
The groups then tried out linear drawing techniques including cross-hatching.
We examined the ways an Artist might portray a character, and the group put these into practice in their own portraits of Guy Fawkes.

''Excellent Workshop, and the children were really engaged with the drawing tasks and with great results - if only there was more time!''

''Very interesting and thought provoking - carefully structured to teach in stages and children of all ages could gain something from it.''

''I liked the way it made children think about the role of Etching in history. Really clever.''
